Mercury Music winning artist Badly Drawn Boy aka Damon Gough has announced a headline Dublin show as part of his “25 Years of Badly Drawn Boy” series of gigs. The show will feature a career-spanning set of hits and fan favourites as well as being his first Irish show in 5 years.

Gough says about his upcoming shows “These shows coincide with my 25th anniversary as a recording artist so I’ll be playing songs from across my career, including favourites and some rarities and deep cuts. I’d like to think this is the show I’d like to see if I was a longtime fan. I’m very much looking forward to it and hope to see you there.”

The National Stadium has played host to a raft of iconic acts such as the legendary Led Zeppelin and Elton John, alternative rockers Depeche Mode and The Pixies. More recently the venue has provided a stage for the likes of Bon Iver and Johnny Marr to name but a few. The Stadium show will be a perfect backdrop for this fully seated performance.

With such a beautiful and eclectic discography it’s hard to predict exactly what he’ll play. From his Mercury Prize winning debut The Hour of Bewilderbeast to the enthralling soundtrack from About a Boy, the epic Born in the UK to his most recent critically acclaimed Banana Skin Shoes from 2020 there’s a huge catalogue to choose from. One thing is for sure he can’t wait to get back to a huge show in Dublin’s National Stadium.

Tickets are available from www.ticketmaster.ie priced at €34.95
